Police investigating pepper-spray attack on remand centre guards

Winnipeg Police are continuing an investigation into a week-old incident in which two guards from the downtown Provincial Remand Centre were pepper-sprayed. 

Police said the incident happened at about 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 15.  The guards were sprayed by a masked man after they stepped outside for some fresh air.

There is no known motive for the attack.

The extent of the guards' injuries is not known.
