Police looking for gas station robber

Police are asking for helping in locating the man who robbed a gas bar on McPhillips Street early New Year’s Day.

At about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a gas bar robbery in the 1300 block of McPhillips Street, police said in a news release.

Police said a lone man armed with a weapon demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes from the lone male employee. The employee was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as Aboriginal in appearance, early twenties, around five-feet-seven, with a medium build and light facial hair.
