Police are looking for a black GMC Sierra following a scary situation near a North End school Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred just after the noon hour in the area of Mountain Avenue and McGregor Street, when a man pulled his truck alongside an 11-year-old girl and rolled down the window. The girl ran down the street to the Mountain and Andrews area and told a school patrol what happened.

The male patrol, also 11, told her to run to the nearby school, which she did.

According to police, the man drove up to the patrol and yelled "Get in the truck now." The boy immediately ran to the school.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 50- and 60-years-old, with white facial hair, white hair and a bald spot. He was wearing a plaid jacket and blue jeans. The truck is described as a black, older model GMC Sierra with a custom front grill and dark tinted windows.

If you have any information about this incident, contact investigators at (204) 986-2848 or CrimeStoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
