Police raid large grow-op in Linden Woods

A $1.5-million marijuana grow operation in Linden Woods was shut down and two people were charged by Winnipeg police on Thursday.

The grow-op, located in a residence in the first 100 block of Castlebury Court, included 1,360 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of $1,523,200. Also seized from the residence was grow operation equipment valued at $25,000, eight kilograms of packaged cannabis marijuana valued at $45,000 and $1,150 in Canadian currency.

A 41-year-old female and a 55-year-old male are facing a number of drug-related charges. Both were released on a promise to appear in court.
