Police seek knife-wielding suspect after store robbery

Police are looking for a knife-toting suspect who held up a convenience store in the 1800 block of Main Street about 4:35 a.m. today.

Const. Jason Michalyshen said that the suspect confronted the 57-year-old clerk and fled with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

The clerk was not injured.

Police described the suspect as a 20-year-old white man, about five-foot-11, thin build, with reddish-blond hair.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 204 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204 786-TIPS (8477).
