Police seek man who approached young girls
Winnipeg police are looking for a man who asked two young girls if they wanted a ride before asking them to help him find his lost puppy.
Police said today the man was driving a dark navy-blue minivan in the 600 block of Ellice Avenue on Wednesday at about 2:45 p.m., when he drove up to two 11-year-old girls, rolled down the passenger window, and asked if they needed a ride.
Police said after the girls said no, the man followed the pair and then asked if they could help him find his puppy.
The man drove off and the girls weren’t injured.
The man is described as Asian, 40 to 50 years of age, with droopy facial features, and wearing sunglasses and a short-sleeved shirt.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 204-986-6245 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
