'Persons of interest' sought in 2009 homicide

Winnipeg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest who were nearby when 17-year-old Jessie Jules Pierre McKenzie was fatally stabbed Dec. 3 of 2009.

McKenzie was stabbed just after 6 p.m. while waiting for a bus at Main Street and Euclid Avenue.

Police said McKenzie had encountered a male suspect who was arguing with a woman.

Homicide investigators are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the male and the female in the photos, describing them as "persons of interest" who were in the area at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the individuals in the photos is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
