Saskatchewan is eyeing buying made-in-Manitoba hydro power, Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall said today.
Wall, speaking to reporters following the a meeting of leaders of Canada's western provinces and territories in Winnipeg, said a possible power deal could be made soon.
Energy, and how Canada benefits from the production of hydro and oil and natural gas resources, was one of the top items on today's meeting.
The premiers also discussed economic issues, immigration, housing, foreign investment, water quality and disaster relief compensation from Ottawa.
Also on the agenda was bullying and what each province and territory can learn from the other to address it.
Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger, who hosted the meeting, said one anti-bullying measure could be an on-line system where people could safely report instances of bullying anonymously.
British Columbia Premier Christy Clark said such a tool is in place in her province.
