Prankster blamed for weapon report

Winnipeg police blame a prankster for calling in a false report about a man with a weapon at the Silver City St. Vital cinema around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday.
About a dozen cruiser cars, the police chopper and the K-9 unit responded after a single call was made.
A police spokesman said there were no witnesses and officers found nothing suspicious.
Officers are reviewing video footage as a precaution.
The cinema was not evacuated.
