Premier's approval rating holds steady at 48 per cent

Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger is holding steady at a 48 per cent approval rating according to a new poll released today by Angus Reid.

The national pollster reported the same number for Selinger last March.

Saskatchewan's Brad Wall continues to be the country's most popular premier with two thirds of respondents in Saskatchewan (66 per cent) saying they’re satisfied with his performance.

Selinger’s approval rating is good for third place among Canada’s premiers.

The online poll is the first time newly-elected Progressive Conservative Leader Brian Pallister has shown up with a 35 per cent approval rating.

The poll was taken Aug. 21 to Aug. 27 of 6,657 randomly selected Canadian adults who’ve signed up to be Angus Reid Forum panelists. The margin of error is +/- 1.2 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
