Principal behind anti-abortion vigil takes paid leave

Christ the King School principal David Hood has agreed to go on paid leave while the school sorts out a controversy over Hood’s plans to involve students and parents in anti-abortion prayer vigils outside the Health Sciences Centre.
"The Board of Directors of Christ the King School is currently reviewing the circumstances of this past week. David Hood has agreed to be on paid leave at this time. This has been a very stressful time for all those involved at Christ the King School, including Mr. Hood," Robert Praznik, director of education for the Archdiocese of Winnipeg Catholic Schools, said this morning.
