Powerview RCMP are looking for two people following a break, enter and assault on Sagkeeng First Nation.

On July 7 at around 11 p.m., three suspects – two men, one woman – wearing ski masks broke into a home and assaulted two female residents. The two women suffered minor injuries and there was some damage to the home.

During the incident, one of the suspects pulled off his mask. Steven Mark Courchene, 35, was later arrested and was charged with numerous offences.

The search continues for the other two suspects. The male is described as tall and thin, wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap. The woman was wearing a bright pink hooded sweatshirt.

If you have any information on this case, contact the Powerview RCMP at (204) 367-8728 or your local police agency.
