RCMP seek Island Lake man following assaults

RCMP are on the lookout for an Island Lake man wanted in connection with assaults in Red Sucker Lake on Wednesday.

Police believe that Kyle John Loonfoot, 19, is now in Winnipeg. He is considered violent and the public is advised not to approach him.

Loonfoot is wanted in connection with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. He is also wanted for three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance relating to a number of past charges, police said.

Loonfoot is aboriginal with black hair, brown eyes and is 5’10" tall and 185 lbs. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the RCMP Island Lake Detachment at 1-204-456-2626, or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
