WINNIPEG - The Royal Winnipeg Ballet will celebrate the life of its artistic director emeritus Arnold Spohr on Oct. 4.

Following a reception, a tribute performance featuring RWB dancers will take place at Centennial Concert Hall, 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the general public.

Spohr, 86, died April 12 of chronic kidney failure. He was the RWB’s artistic director from 1958-88 and is credited with putting the troupe on the dance map.
