Rain, cooler temperatures expected for start of Thanksgiving weekend

  • Print

There will be a rainy start to the long weekend, but do not despair.

The sun will come out by Sunday.

Today, a few showers will lead to a risk of a thunderstorm later this morning followed by scattered showers throughout the day.

So, in other words, it's going to be a damp day and a damp evening as there are thunderstorms in the forecast for tonight, too. The high today will be 19 C with a low of 10 C.

Saturday will be rainy and cloudy with a high of 11 C.

You can expect some wind thrown in there, too, as it will be from the northwest at 50 km/h and gusting to 70 km/h in the morning. That will diminish to 20 km/h in the evening with a low of 5 C.

Sunday and Monday will be the days you have waited for this weekend.

There will be plenty of sunshine on Sunday with a high of 11 C and low of 2 C.

Thanksgiving Monday is expected to be mainly sunny with a high of 10 and a low of -1 C.
