WINNIPEG - If you’re running a little late today but wanted to catch some afternoon baseball, you're in luck.
The Winnipeg Goldeyes and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are expected to get the final game of their four-game series going this afternoon, though it will be a little later than the planned noon start.
The tarp came off the field at Canwest Park at about 11:45 a.m. and -- barring any immediate storm -- the Northern League game is expected to start at 12:20 p.m.
It appears that there will be some drizzle in parts of the game, but it will take a heavier downpour to delay the game further.
The RedHawks have won the first three games of the series -- including 7-5 and 11-0 in a doubleheader on Tuesday -- to surge past the Goldeyes into second place in the Northern League.
