Relive the Jets' return, one year later

Although it may seem hard to believe, May 31 marks the one-year anniversary of the official return of NHL hockey to Winnipeg.

How do you celebrate a monumental event like that? By reliving the historic announcement, live and on the web.

Join us at the Free Press News Café on McDermot Avenue and online here at 11 a.m. Thursday, as we re-broadast the historic announcement that the Winnipeg Jets were returning to the city they left 15 years earlier.

Hear Jets owner Mark Chipman, along with his partners and local dignitaries confirm the return of NHL hockey after a long, sad absence.

We're also looking for your help reliving the excitement through your favourite memories of the last year. Share them in the comments below, or on Twitter with the hashtag #NHLJets.
