Winnipeg police continue to look for suspects after a man was shot in the North End Thursday evening.

At approximately 8:10 p.m., police and emergency personnel responded to call in the 600 block of Magnus Avenue after a report of gunshots in the area.

A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital in stable condition after being shot. He remains in stable condition.

The initial investigation determined a group of males were creating a disturbance near the back entrance of the victim’s residence. The victim yelled out to the group and was shot at as he closed the door behind him. He was struck in the upper body.

The suspects fled and the major crimes unit is currently investigating.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
