River trail open, but some areas temporarily closed

The Forks River Trail is open today except for a couple of access points along the Assiniboine River portion. Access points at Spence Street and the Legislative Building are temporarily closed.

All other access points remain open including the the Hugo Dock, the Historic Dock, and points along the Red River are open.

Closed access points have received some flooding due to a winter release of water from the Shellmouth Dam on the Assiniboine River in Western Manitoba.

For more information on ice conditions, please see The Forks River Trail website.
