The Manitoba Moose will add a quality defenceman to their lineup tonight in Abbotsford, B.C.
The NHL’s Vancouver Canucks have assigned blueliner Ryan Parent to the Moose for a conditioning assignment.
By NHL rules, the stint could last only a maximum of two weeks, meaning Parent’s possible action with the Moose will be seven games at most.
The 23-year-old from Prince Albert has played just four games for the Canucks this season since being acquired from the Nashville Predators at the start of the season.
The Moose are in Abbotsford tonight (9 p.m.) and Saturday, then go off to Chicago and Milwaukee for games on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. They are back home next weekend, Friday and Saturday, against Oklahoma City.
