Safe to hit the beach this long weekend
E. coli levels within guidelines: province

The coast is clear for those who want to visit the beach to celebrate Canada day and enjoy the long weekend.
Levels of E. coli are within guidelines set out by Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship. Algae blooms, on the other hand, are difficult to predict. If blooms are visible in the water, beachgoers are reminded to avoid swimming and to keep pets from drinking at the shoreline.
