Lefty Chris Salamida (1-2, 4.24 ERA) will take the mound today for the Winnipeg Goldeyes (22-15) against the Sioux City Explorers (18-21) at 7 p.m. at Shaw Park.

Ty Marotz (2-1, 7.00) will counter for the Explorers in the second meeting between the two teams in the three-game set. The third game will be Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Winnipeg defeated Sioux City 3-2 on Monday night at Shaw Park before a crowd of 5,012 in the first game of this series. The win broke a three-game losing skid for the Goldeyes.

The Goldeyes will go into the game atop the American Association's North division with a two-game lead over the Sioux Falls Pheasants (19-16).
