Eighty years on, and still no Manitoba monument to McClung

WINNIPEG - On the grounds of the Manitoba legislature, we have statues of Ukrainian and Scottish poets, French explorers, British royalty, and veterans.

In a male-dominated landscape of bronze and stone, there is not a single tribute to the Manitoba woman who fought to have all Canadians declared persons and for females in this province to have a say at election time.

That’s just not right, say women hoping to change that terrain.
