Scotiabank held up by armed men
Winnipeg police responded to two robberies Thursday evening.
Just before 7 p.m., the Scotiabank at 1549 Kenaston Blvd. was held up by three men armed with bear spray and at least one firearm.
The men obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a vehicle, a police spokesperson said.
Later, around 8:30 p.m., an M&M Meat Shop at 2800 Pembina Hwy. was robbed by a lone male suspect using a knife. The man obtained an undisclosed amount of money.
The M&M Meat Shop robbery took place just a few buildings away from where a Rogers Plus store was robbed on Wednesday night. The two suspects stole thousands of dollars' worth of cellphones.
The Winnipeg police major crimes unit is investigating all three incidents.
