One of the westbound lanes of the TransCanada Highway east of Winnipeg was closed Sunday following a semi-trailer rollover. The RCMP’s Falcon Beach detachment said the accident happened about five kilometres east of Prawda, at McMunn Road. Two Ontario men in the truck were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The accident occurred at about 8:15 a.m. when the semi hauling cargo on Hwy 1 drove onto the shoulder, lost control and rolled across both lanes of traffic.
Police said traffic would be disrupted until debris from the area was cleared and that drivers should check the Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation website for the latest updates on road information.
