A three-year-old child remains in critical condition following a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Ellice Avenue and Sherbrook Street just before 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
A 35-year-old adult driver and two three-year-old children were rushed to hospital in critical condition after a van travelling westbound on Ellice crashed into the front of Sherbrook Foods grocery store.
When police responded, the injured individuals inside the van, all females, were being assisted by bystanders. The adult and one of the children have since been upgraded to stable condition.
The cause of the collision has yet to be determined.
Police had closed a number of streets in the area, however all routes had reopened by mid-morning.
The investigation is continuing by members of the Central Traffic Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident who has not yet spoken with police is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6271 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
