Shilo soldier charged with bestiality
A 31-year-old member of the Canadian Forces has been charged with bestiality.
On Sept. 10, Brandon RCMP received a complaint that a man had solicited a woman through a dating website to participate in acts of bestiality. Following an investigation, RCMP executed a search warrant with the assistance of Canadian Forces military police at the man's home near Brandon. Police seized computers, and the man has been arrested and identified as a current member of CFB Shilo.
He has been charged with bestiality, procuring and circulating obscene matter under the criminal code. He has been released on strict conditions pending a court appearance.
RCMP said they will not release the man's name to protect the victim and members of his family. No other details will be provided, police said.
