Shopper tries to pass fake $50 at Steinbach grocer

Steinbach RCMP are searching for a shopper who tried to use counterfeit cash at a Real Canadian Superstore.

Sunday, RCMP issued a surveillance photo from the store showing the shopper -- a man in grey T-shirt and white-and-black striped ball cap.

They said they believe the man may have information on the origins of the fake currency.

The man tried to use a fake $50 to make a purchase in the Steinbach store April 25, but the cashier suspected the bill was no good refused to accept it, RCMP said.
