Simmons dropping by News Café Tuesday morning

  • Print

Legendary Winnipeg vaudeville entertainer Al Simmons will do a live webcast at the Winnipeg Free Press News Café on Tuesday at 11 a.m. as part of the News Café’s week-long presentation of performers taking part in the TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival.

Simmons performs Friday night at the Rachel Browne Theatre with sidemen Daniel Koulack (bass), Greg Lowe (guitar) and Ron Paley (accordion) and he's promised to offer up a taste of that show on Tuesday morning. He’ll play a song or two and host John Kendle will try to find what else Al has up his sleeve — because with Al you just never know.
