Singer-songwriters invade WECC this fall

Folk-pop artist Bahamas will bring his chords to town this fall.

Toronto singer-songwriter Afie Jurvanen, who performs as Bahamas, will play the West End Cultural Centre on Oct. 30 in support of his new album, Barchords.

Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but will be $23.50 at Ticketmaster and the WECC.

Almost a month later, indie-roots band the Wooden Sky plays the same venue on Nov. 27 in support of its new album, Every Child a Daughter, Every Moon a Sun. Tickets go on sale Saturday for $21.50 at Ticketmaster and the WECC.

The next night, London, Ont., Juno-winning singer-songwriter Meaghan Smith will play the same venue. Tickets for the show are $18.25 at Ticketmaster and the WECC.

Winnipegger James Struthers will open for Smith.

The singer-songwriter invasion continues two days later when Wisconsin folk singer Willy Porter is at the WECC on Nov. 30. Tickets go on sale Sept. 21 for $25.50 at Ticketmaster and the WECC.
