Single-day tickets available for BBQ & Blues Fest

Single-day tickets are now available for Winnipeg’s newest festival.

Organizers of the Winnipeg BBQ & Blues Festival have released for purchase two-day passes and single-day tickets for the Aug. 17-19 event at Red River Exhibition Park. Early-bird tickets are sold out.

Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $46.75 at Ticketmaster, while single-day tickets are $25 per day. The Friday evening charity fundraiser — the Meat Ball — is only open to early-bird ticket buyers.

The inaugural event features a Kansas City Barbeque Society Sanctioned Barbeque Competition, big rig show and shine, artisans market, food vendors and three stages of musical entertainment by Jimmie Vaughan, Little Miss Higgins, Eddie Shaw, Jim Byrnes, Steve Dawson, Big Dave McLean, Romi Mayes and more. Vancouver group the Sojourners will host a Sunday gospel brunch.
