Teenager charged after six-year-old robbed
WINNIPEG — A little boy returning home from a birthday party with his grandmother was robbed Thursday in the Spence area of the city.
The victim, just six years old, was confronted by a man who demanded the boy give him the bags he was carrying. The tyke refused, and the suspect assaulted the child.
He did not need medical attention for the minor injuries he received.
City police picked up a suspect just 40 minutes later. A 17-year-old male was charged with robbery with violence and a number of court breaches.
He is being held at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
