Dust off your ratty bathrobe, man. The Dude abides, and so does Canada’s biggest annual Big Lebowski event.
Winnipeg’s 4th annual Lebowskipalooza, a celebration of the subculture spawned by the Coen brothers’ 1998 stoner noir bowling comedy, takes place Saturday, March 2 at the Garrick Centre.
The event, which will feature a film screening, costume contest and lots of White Russians, is a fundraiser for the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Last year, it attracted more than 300 slackers, nihilists, achievers and what have you and raised nearly $2,000 for the charity.
Tickets are $10 each (plus fees) and available at Movie Village (97 Osborne St.), online at Diyobo.com and at the door. For more info, check out the Facebook page.
