Snow route parking ban takes effect Saturday

Winnipeg's annual snow route parking ban will take effect on Saturday.

Between Dec. 1 and March 1, motorists must move their vehicles off streets designated as snow routes between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. to ensure snow plows can get through in case it snows overnight.

Vehicles found in violation will receive a ticket of $100 ($50 if paid early) and may be towed to a compound.

No other parking bans are in effect at this time.

More information about winter parking bans is available on the city's website.
