Election social media expert speaks at News Café

Diana Owen, an expert on the use of digital and social media in U.S. elections, appeared at the Free Press News Café today for a discussion with political columnist Dan Lett.

Lett and Owen chatted about the coming U.S. presidential election and how candidates are using social media in their campaigns.

Owen is an Associate Professor of Political Studies and Director of American Studies at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. who has extensively studied the Internet and social media's effect in U.S. elections.
