It's just what Manitoba's flood forecasters don't want to see - a spring snowstorm in North Dakota.
Grand Forks is expected to get walloped with 15 to 25 cm of snow this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm is expected to start late Saturday night and move northeastward through Sunday night. Accumulations could be as high as 30 cm in some areas.
Luckily, a quick melt that would push moisture into the Red River is not expected. Temperatures for the next week will hover a few degrees on either size of the freezing (melting) mark.
