Springfield man accused of videotaping his family in washroom

Oakbank RCMP have arrested a 64-year-old RM of Springfield man on voyeurism and child pornography charges.

The man is accused of setting up a recording device in the washroom of his home and making sexually explicit material available to a child. He is also accused of possessing child pornography.

Police also found unsafely stored firearms on his property.

The man, whose identity is not being released to protect the victims, was arrested June 11 and is charged with voyeurism, making child pornography, possessing child pornography, making sexually explicit material available to a child, unsafe storage of firearms and the unsafe storage of ammunition.

He will be appear in Beausejour Provincial court Sept. 2.
