St. James shooting sends man to hospital

Winnipeg police investigate an overnight shooting in a house in the 300 block of Rutland St. this morning.

Winnipeg police investigate an overnight shooting in a house in the 300 block of Rutland St. this morning.

A 41-year-old man is in guarded condition in a city hospital after he was shot in the lower body early this morning.

Winnipeg police were dispatched to the 300 block of Rutland Street in St. James shortly before 1 a.m. after reports of a shooting.

Police have not made any arrests. The victim’s name has not been released.
