Stabbing incidents send two people to hospital

Two people are in hospital this morning following two stabbing incidents in the city.

The first occurred at about 10 p.m. on the 200 block of Charles Street on Thursday. Winnipeg police say one person was taken to the hospital in unstable condition, but wouldn’t immediately confirm reports the man was stabbed multiple times.

The next incident was a few hours later on the 400 block of Alexander Avenue. Police were called to the block at 12:40 a.m., where they discovered a male had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition and two people were taken into custody.

Police should be releasing more details about the incident later this morning, including addressing rumours the stabbing occurred during a fight between two groups of teens.
