  • Print

A girl has been charged after an inner-city stabbing left a 19-year-old man in critical condition.

Police were called to the 500 block of Home Street about 11:40 p.m. Friday night.

By Saturday morning, investigators concluded the stabbing was the result of a fight that took place at the address among people who knew each other.

A female youth is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failure to comply with a sentence and two charges of failing to comply with an undertaking.

She is in custody.

The major crimes unit continues to investigate.
