Man dies after apparent stabbing
WINNIPEG —A man has died after suffering from what’s believed to be a stab wound in Winnipeg's Weston neighbourhood.
Police taped off a square block of Gallagher Avenue between Quelch and Vine streets.
A trail of blood was seen along the sidewalk running along the entire block of Gallagher, leading to a larger pool of blood in the street near Cantor’s Grocery on Logan Avenue.
A long-bladed kitchen knife with what appeared to be blood stains was found lying around the corner in the grass.
The homicide unit is investigating.
