Standup star Hotz offers miserable, funny time

It might be, as advertised, magical. And given the performer involved, it will certainly be miserable. And funny.

Canadian standup star Jeremy Hotz is bringing his Magical Misery Tour to Winnipeg in the spring, stopping at the Burton Cummings Theatre on Saturday, March 16.

Hotz, known for his deadpan and decidedly complaint-driven standup style, as well as for a series-regular role in Ken Finkleman’s The Newsroom, is a past winner of the Canadian Comedy Awards’ title of best male standup. His 21-city Canadian tour begins Feb. 19 in St. John’s and concludes March 23 in Kelowna.

Tickets for The Magical Misery Tour are $32.50 and $39.50, on sale Friday at Ticketmaster.
