Stanley Cup headed to Neepawa

Shane Hnidy is bringing the Stanley Cup to Neepawa.

Hnidy, who played defence for the Boston Bruins during their Cup run this spring, will have the Cup in his hometown on Thursday, Aug. 18.

Hnidy will bring the Cup to a social at the Yellowhead Centre from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Hnidy is waiting on confirmation on a second event to be held the morning of Friday, Aug. 19. The plan is to have Hnidy and the Cup available for pictures and autographs. Details have yet to be finalized.
