Ste. Anne resident wins HSC Lifestyles Lottery grand prize

Anni Markmann of Ste. Anne has won the grand prize show home, worth over $1.2 million, in the HSC Lifestyles Lottery.

Draws for all 4,833 prizes were completed and winners were announced on Thursday night.

Markmann may choose the custom-built Maric Showhome and $10,000 in cash or $1 million in cash.

The winner of the $906,000 Falcon Lake cottage, also custom-built by Maric, is Tammi Chard of Narol. Chard may choose the cottage and $10,000 cash or take $850,000 cash.

Winning the "car or cash" early-bird draw, worth over $75,000, was Joan Kuivenhoven of Winnipeg.

Glen Constable of Winnipeg won the 50/50 prize of $350,000 cash.

A complete list of winners will be published in the Winnipeg Free Press on Dec. 13 and online.

The fundraiser raised over $1 million which will be used to suppport research to advance medical treatment which will benefit families throughout Manitoba. Proceeds will be shared with community healthcare partners in support of the diagnostic and medical equipment purchases essential for quality patient care.

Prize winners will be notified in writing by the professional service firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP.
