Stolen car report leads police to drugs, weapons stockpile

Winnipeg Police investigating a stolen car report have charged a man with a series of charges involving possession of a large quantity of marijuana, possession of multiple weapons and ammunition.

Police said an investigation into the theft of a 1970 Chevy Malibu led them to a residence in Ferry Road. Inside, police seized 1.5 kg of marijuana worth an estimated $15,000, $7,500 in cash, a shotgun, a handgun, ammunition, brass knuckles and an electric guitar.

Lorne Wayne Corlett, 43, has been charged with numerous offences.
