Sunny enough for you?

Winnipeg will celebrate the warmest 12-month period in its history Thursday with another warm and sunny summer day.

The forecast high of 26 C with be accompanied by a wind becoming northeast at 20 km/h this morning and a UV index of six, or high. Tonight it will remain clear, with a comfortable low of 12 C.

On Friday, the temperature will edge up to a high of 28 C with a wind becoming south at 20 km/h early in the evening.

The weekend looks promising with a sunny Saturday when the mercury will top out at 26 C and fall to a low of 16 C. Sunday will be 27 Cwith a mix of sun and cloud. There’s a 30 per cent chance of showers. The low will be 15 C.

That mix of sun and cloud will stick around through the first half of next week. Monday will hit a high of 23 C and a low of 11 C, Tuesday will be 25 C and 12 C and Wednesday 24 C and 12 C.
