Suspect arrested in Sunday night stabbing

A Winnipeg man has been arrested in the wake of a downtown stabbing on Sunday.

Winnipeg police said today Timothy Sanderson, 32, has been charged with aggravated assault and two counts of breaching probation.

Sanderson is in custody.

Police said a 44-year-old man was rushed to hospital in critical condition after being stabbed in the upper body on March 31 at about 2 a.m., in the 100 block of Martha Street. There is no update to his condition.
