Suspect in sexual assaults at holistic centre in custody
A man wanted by police for more than two years as a suspect in a sexual assault investigation is finally in custody.
Winnipeg police said the case dates back to early 2010, when they received several reports of sexual assaults taking place at a holistic medicine clinic during the previous two years.
It is alleged the suspect inappropriately touched several females during the process of receiving treatment.
WPS spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen said the sex crimes unit uncovered other victims and an arrest warrant was issued.
The suspect was located on Sept. 20 and taken into custody.
Yven Jean Breton, 62, has been charged with five counts of sexual assault. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
The investigation is on-going.
