Suspect in stabbing cuts himself on glass, faces charges
A house party turned violent and spilled out into the street Monday when one man stabbed another man and then cut himself on a window. Both men were left in critical condition.
Police were called to the house in the 600 block of Alverstone Avenue about 11 a.m. during one of the worst winter weather bombs this year.
"Upon arrival, officers located several people in and around the residence... A party had been in full swing when a male armed himself with a knife and proceeded to stab an 18-year-old male in the upper body," police said in a statement Tuesday.
The suspect tried to flee out a window, and cut himself on the glass.
Both the victim and the suspect were sent to hospital for treatment in critical condition. Later, both were upgraded to stable. The victim has since been released. The suspect, a 24-year-old, is in police custody and faces several charges.
