Suspected member of shoplifting ring arrested in Steinbach

Steinbach RCMP have nabbed a suspected member of an organized shoplifting ring.

The store manager of a Real Canadian Super Store reported the suspicious woman in the store last Friday morning to RCMP. When the woman left the store without paying for her groceries, police were waiting outside.

The suspect is Marlene Paul, 36, of Winnipeg. She has been charged with theft under $5,000 and remanded into custody.
